Blog much?

September 2013:

Dear Godstimers!

The vision of Hannah's House is clear this month we are moving forward with our 2013 project goals, it has been a long time coming and we are excited to launch our humanitarian projects on women and children.

I prayed, praised and worshipped God. Seeking God's face.
Then the LORD answered me, "Write the vision. Make it clear on tablets so that anyone can read it quickly." Habakkuk2:2

The last couple of years has been a learning experience, traveling, volunteering, researching, refining, promoting and above all praying.

This month had me reflecting on the last couple of years and its defining moments:

2008: GodsTIME.
2009: India trainer Trip.
2010: The Hannah's House
2011: Refiner's fire
2012: Mission trip: Africa
2013: Hannah's House presents a memoir: "Rebranded for Christ"

Big God. Big Expectations.Big Results

Hello Godstimers!

I am still in my year of Favor 2013: SpeakLife.

Will you Join me lets speak God's word and apply it to our lives?

As I declared the month of May: "Big God. Big Expectations. Big Results". I did not know that i was truly going to witness an awesome month. I share testimonies here to encourage us to dig deeper into the word, pray&praise&worship daily. I know we go through different challenges but be empowered with the word of God. Read it. Speak it. Use it daily.

I call them "Conversations with our Father".
Jeremiah 33:3 GWT says "Call to me, and I will answer you. I will tell you great and mysterious things that you do not know."
When we call to God our father, he answers and as we humbly ask for his help, he will show us great things (healing, deliverance, peace, joy), all his promises to us comes alive! The rule here is you have to call, ask, speak to God. He wants a conversation, relationship with you.

Testimony: prayers were answered-- two speaking engagements, work assignments tripled at the job, rejoiced with Rev.Evangelist E.Success ordination, promoted & launched my pastor's book event, MC the mothers day concert for the women's ministry at church, by the way the holy spirit moved in a such manner i had never felt before in this event my speaking was different (working on editing the video, will post soon).

I was encouraged this month to continue praying, speaking Life, praise and worship.

Above all, this month i learned the following:
  1. Never underestimate the power of prayer: I asked the holy spirit to guide and teach me what to say at the women ministry event and He truly showed up as the perfect gentleman, anointed my tongue. I was saying... "Women, Jesus want us to Speak! Yes Speak Life into any situation, he has given us the power and mandate to do this", if i could say so myself it was powerful, liberating because i know it is not my might or power, truly by the spirit of the living God such is revealed.
  2. Busy schedule affects prayer time: As the work assignment tripled at the job I began to notice that it was cutting into my personal time with my Father. The physical body need balance and the personal time to have conversations with God its important to refuel and release. I am thankful for the extra work assignment but now I know i must ask for direction and wisdom going forward. Jesus says to bring to him all our heavy burdens (Matthew 11:28-30)  and also that he can never give us more than we can bear ( Ist Corinthians 10:13)
  3. Praise and Worship is powerful!: I want to cultivate an attitude of praise&worship as a lifestyle in my home, at church, attending gospel concerts, with friends. It is empowering, strengthens and    gets you closer to the ear of our creator. Jesus tells the Samaritan woman that God is seeking for those who will worship him in truth and in spirit. (John4). We are created to worship the father. He inhabits in the praises of his people. You can pray amiss but never praise amiss. Think about it!
  4. Writing is not easy, it takes dedication and focus and divine inspiration.
  5. I am passionate about the women of the bible.
  6. Humanitarian ministry is a divine calling:  Working on public relations campaign for Evangelist E.Success humanitarian work in Africa, I am convinced that Prayer+Faith+Missions+Advocacy+Aid+Donors= Humanitarian ministry.  Philippians 2:4 "Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others." I cant wait to go on medical mission trip with the team in the near future.

Our Lord's PRAYER: ReadWriteSpeak

GodsTIME
Hi there GodsTIMErs!

As I joined http://www.ksbj.org/ this noon to meditate on the Lord's Prayer. I am convinced now that inspiration to share my experiences on this blog can come anytime so i have learned to respond to the holy spirit. When we ask God to speak to us and through us...be ready!

Timing is very important in the order of things. Yes we should constantly be spiritually alert throughout the day with our prayer language, praises, thanksgiving, positive actions, but we need to practice to set out time dedicated towards GodsTIME. As Jesus did in the Garden of Gethsemane he prayed strategically always: 12noon, 3pm, 6pm and at night.Matthew26:36-56
Visit this link: PrayerTime:GardenofGethesemane

Remember God has already given us the authority to ask of anything in the name of Jesus Christ and it is done. Just like that.  Read John 14:14 "if ye ask anything in my name I will do it"

I am reminded of the powerful message and instruction that Jesus taught the disciples in Matthew chapter six about praying, fasting, true riches and to stop worrying.

I will focus on the prayer instruction for this post:  Matthew 6:9-14

9"This is how you should pray: Our Father in heaven, let your name be kept holy.
10Let your kingdom come. Let your will be done on earth as it is done in heaven.
11Give us our daily bread today.
12Forgive us as we forgive others.
13Don't allow us to be tempted. Instead, rescue us from the evil one. 14"If you forgive the failures of others, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15But if you don't forgive others, your Father will not forgive your failures.

verse9: Teaches us to reverence the name of our Father and his position in our lives. God is in heaven. He is holy. We must activate his position and holiness, he reigns over us. we are in total submission mode here towards the power of God. Be a child as you are of him, be vulnerable and appreciate his sovereignty.

verse10: Let the will of God be done in our lives, and on earth. We must plug into the plan and purpose of God for us. The kingdom of God is where all what we need for survival is stored. So activate it through the power of your words!

verse11: Give us our daily bread today. Ask and you shall receive, seek and you will find these are God's promises to provide our needs but we must ask for it to be released in its fullest.

verse12: Forgiveness is key. Ask God to forgive you of ALL wrong. God is faithful to forgive us but we must confess our sins in its entirety, asking him to forgive you and those that offended you and vice versa and even things you dont remember or did not know you did. "Do not grive the holy spirit"

verse13: There are several evil around us. Satan is working on all levels to tempt and remove us from the place God has for us. So activate his divine help through the blood of Jesus that was shed, we are free from all torment and redeemed through blood and his grace. Amen! I always shout out loud on this revelation.

Bonus verse14+15: This is true, you can not hold on to a grudge and then ask God to forgive you or your always taking advantage of the grace but not taking responsibility to ask for forgiveness to those you offend. This verse clearly reminds us that any un-forgiveness spirit in our path will be a direct block of our true divine forgiveness. be careful here please! may of us including me struggle with this area.

Have a blessed midweek!

Love, peace and blessings

a divine encounter

This morning on my way to my family friend's home, she gave me her address, i plugged into my phone GPS as usual for direction, i still had some difficulty finding my way so i called her back and her daughter gives me the direction and told me to watch out for a certain car model in their drive way once i get to the street.

So as i got to the street, for some reason i spotted the car model she mentioned, i did not take a look at the correct address making sure it was the correct number. I parked and walked in.

I got in was received by a very calm lady, she welcomed me , offered me soda asked where i came from. Few mins go by i get a phone from my family friend asking me if i made it, i told her i was in the living room waiting for her. She shocked me by saying she is in her living room and that i may be in the wrong house.

At that the lady and I just realized i was in the wrong place. But no way nothing happens just like that, on my way out of the front door i take another look at the pictures and larger photo flyer of Jennifer and Anita Onita Memoriam.

I was shocked, puzzled and stunned and what had just taken place today. I did not know them personally but one of my good friend Femi went to school with Jennifer and he told me about the Dana Airlines Crash.

There i was standing in their home, hugging their mom and promising to come back and properly show my respect, first i had to tell my family who lived in the same street with them and also call my friend to tell him.

It was like an outer body experience, but me and their mom knew that such encounter was divine and not to be mistaken as by chance. I knew the girls wanted to hug their mom that morning. I knew God has a plan for everything that happens to us. I still have questions as to how i missed my way but i was way to shocked to ask?

I would make sure i visit her often.
Today has been totally humbling.

RIP Jennifer and Anita. I met your mom today by chance, i hugged her and even though i did not personally meet you sweet ladies  before but I am sure there is a connection and i am totally humbled.

Thank you God. Thank you Jesus our saving Grace.Thank you Holy spirit for the guidance.
May the souls of all the faithful departed be at peace. Amen!

lessons in Humility

longtime no blog. do not worry am back

I met with a family friend today, she is a nurse that works with the aged or those with some handicap and are not able to do things for themselves.

I was there to assist her for the week, as i got into the home with her,  i already had my inner skepticism when i was told what we will be doing for the clients, also mind you in college i changed my major from healthcare to business for this same reason or so i though.

As we proceed to "take care" of the client needs, all those in the type of healthcare would attest to my first hand experience and how totally humbling or challenging the process can be.

"take care" means wash, clean, arrange the clients bodies and their homes.  Visualize a middle aged man over 50 or so, accomplished  but now has to be taken care by strangers who he does not even know. God forbid those strangers are means or not caring enough....Imagine. This is a skill set that requires a caring attitude because trust me your heart will break right here.

As we helped him bathe, clean, even shopped for his weekly needs. I was totally humbled and inspired by this experience, as we encouraged him, his thankful tearful appreciation....." i am trying" he says and those words broke me inside. I was deeply moved, mind you ...am one person that considers myself "humanitarian" enough with the amount of non profit organization and ministries that i devote my time, but this one different i was pained and challenged and that to me ladies and gentlemen is God's teaching me once again life lessons in Humility!

I love the holy spirit he knows what i needed. I asked for direction, i was given. Ask and your shall receive. Humble yourself i heard the tiny voice within me echoing loudly. I was thankful to my dear sister who shared this experience with me, As we discussed further on the way back, she can tell i was deeply moved

Fast forward to my lessons learned on humility:
  • life is fragile
  • life is not fair
  • we will get old one day
  • nurses are the best
  • healthcare is humbling career or profession
  • anyone that lacks humility should take a trip/work in sick or disabled person home or hospital
  • God teaches us lessons daily
  • life moments are for the sensitive at heart
  • health is priceless
  • prayer unlocks vision and deeper clarity
  • the measure of a man is in the actions and risks you take and rising above your comfort zones
  • the willingness to learn and see deeper meaning in all that goes on in life
Bible Verses on Humility:
God Opposes the Proud: James 4:6
But He gives a greater grace. Therefore it says, "God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble."
Humbleness and Prayer: 2 Chronicles 7:14
and My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray, and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
Faith and Humbleness: Romans 12:3
For through the grace given to me I say to every man among you not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound judgment, as God has allotted to each a measure of faith.
God has given us the Gift of Grace: Ephesians 2:8-9
For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast.

Consider theses careers that will teach humility and also present a fulfilling spiritual work:
Nursing/Nurse
Occupational Therapy
Physical Therapy
Medical Doctor

Its never too late to learn and make a difference!
